In our "Time to Learn" pre-kindergarten program, we implement a structured schedule where play is the basis for all learning. Our curriculum is designed to support children’s readiness for Kindergarten, with a strong focus on early literacy development. We utilize Pennsylvania’s Preschool Standards matrix in our curriculum and instructional design. To do this, our teachers work to create thematic units that last anywhere from one to three weeks. In all activities, we encourage creativity, free thinking, and problem solving. Teaching children about community building in which love, patience, sharing, kindness, and acceptance are at the core of our work together. Parents are invited to visit us at any time throughout the year, but we will also host two open houses, one in the fall and one in the spring, in which we will display our scholars’ completed projects. In addition to the classroom space, our preschool scholars have access to the gymnasium for structured activities that support large muscle development. Time to Learn operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. and children are provided lunch and an afternoon snack.
