Community Day

Community Day 2018 was a complete success! Despite temperatures hanging in the mid-90's throughout the day more than 500 people stopped by to support our block party. Families were having fun, children bounced and climbed through obstacle courses, and people of all different backgrounds and cultures celebrated Hazleton's growing diversity. We hope to see you all back at #CommunityDay2019!

Brought to you by: PPL, HIP, American Eagle, Amazon, System One, Aetna, Michaels, and Standard Speaker.

#LastDay of After School for our Scholars

Sadly we have reached the end of the road for our 2017-2018 After School Pogram. Throughout our scholar year we had Dr. Seuss Celebrations, Ballet showcases, Making Ice Cream, Tutor Visits, various field trips and so much more. We really wish our scholars a great summer and a bright future ahead.

We also want to thank our teachers, volunteers, staff, parents and students for being great. We couldnt have done it without you! Cheers to the future!

Scholars Open House

On Thursday May 17, the Scholars had their annual Open House, where we welcome the community into our center. We showcased projects the scholars have worked on throughout the year, we gave tours of our facility, and we provided crucial information: next semester applications, summer camp, and upcoming programs for the children.

This year we had more than 200 community members come into our center where they explored and saw what we do! Thank you to our students, thank you to our teachers, and thank you to our staff, we have brought the children from this community opportunities they maybe would have never experienced. We invite you to keep posted on what we do, call our center for information, because we are here to serve the community and bring positive change to strive for Diversity!

Several years ago we introduced the Hazleton Integration Project (#HIP) as a catalyst for positive change in our area. We believed that whatever differences exist between the people who now call Hazleton home are far outweighed by the common sense of humanity that binds us together.

Kennedy teams up with his Stanford University colleague Condoleezza Rice to investigate the idea of a unifying American creed.Their thorny, cross-partisan inquiry frames the stories of activists, each of whom is striving to realize his or her own vision of America‚Äôs promise across a deep divide documentary by Citizen Film."
